My mom thought it was a "genius" idea to blow out my hair...the brush it after it was dry. YA...damn straight I can rock a fro! *sigh* I still love you mom even though I HAVE NO clue what you were THINKING!!!
My mom and I! Too bad Brooklyn was too big for that swim suit! LOL
I would LOVE to do a reenactment of this shot...20 year later! Find me some heart shades and we're ON!
This last week I have been trying my best to pack up the house to move. Saturday morning things started to hit me. Boxes lay half packed, unpacked, filled and marked all around me. I had a moment of sadness.
This house was nothing but a shell. Nothing but unfulfilled memories and hopes for a future here for my children...my family. The neighborhood where we could walk out our front door to go trick or treating and catch the bus. The beautiful mantel decorated with all our stockings, where my kids could imagine Santa dropping down the fireplace. Warm summer days spent outside in our backyard...
...All to never happen....
It's not necessarily the memories that wont be made as it is the moments I had dreamed and hoped for are no longer there. New ones I'm sure will fill there place as we move into our new "home" and settle into our new routine.
It is bitter/sweet to say the least. To look around and see what never was.

Anyone who knows me, knows I love me a good blog, a cute dog, and a good story. Here's a quick run-down of the story of a cute dog on a blog. I'll try not to rhyme anymore :).
Bye Bye Pie's Puppy
There's this blog I like to check in on everyday, Bye Bye Pie. The gal is funny, there is some language if you are sensitive but overall it's worth it for the "pet-speak". She is a huge animal lover and blogs about real life. Anyways, while she was in her local pet store, someone left a puppy in a box in her car. She can't keep the puppy because she already has a full house. The lady was interviewed on the local news and a new home has been found. I'll let you read up on it here.
Bree's Work Area...well the computer work area...;)
To the far left is of coarse my coffee...you won't find me without coffee!!! Then is my older but new to me computer that has editing software and the burning capabilities for my photography. This computer though has a security/internet connection pronblem that I need to have my "sister wife's" husband fix ;) And all the way to the right is my trusty old side kick. With the editing software I'm comfortable with and my internet connection.
As you can see my keyboard is missing a few "key" components. LOL. Thanks to my beautiful children!
The one main problem I was having, was my fingers were starting to get raw from hitting the nonexistent "I" and "O"....do you know how many times when typing you need to type those letters!?!?!
So I followed the advice of a friend of mine and took some not so common letters and replaced the "I" and "O" with them!
GENIUS!
Removed my "V"
I also had to take off the little rubber stopper off from where "V" was and place it in the new "I" letter spot. This rubber stopper pushes the key back up after typing on it.
Push the letter down, somewhat hard.
AND whalla!
I now have and "I" and "O" key! Replaced with a "Z" and "V".
Ya,I know my simple "key" problem post is dumb but I was uninspired and exhausted, lol~
The kids and I did a little Halloween decorating. I was inspired by Pinterest of course! It was pinned from Ms. Stewart and the tutorial is here.
Martha Stewart's Spider Nests
Instead of styrofoam eggs (who can find those easy this time of year?!), I used 3 bunched-up plastic grocery bags into one grocery bag to make a ball. I also just hole punched a bunch of dots and irregular shapes out of black construction paper and tucked them down inside of the stocking with the stuffing for the inside spiders.
Our Spider Nests
I bought knee-high stockings from Walgreens. They are the kind in the little plastic containers like the ones you get from the candy machines, and were only 50 cents a pair. For $2.00 we have 8 stockings. The spiders were also from Walgreens and I bought 2 packs for $1.99 each. They were orange and black spider rings with the ring part cut off. I only used the black spiders and there are 7 spiders per nest, 3 on the inside and 4 on the outside. The spider webbing is $3.99 at Walgreens and I bought one package and the leaves are from nature :). That's how for less than $10, you can have some spooky spiders!
Plastic bag ball tutorial
Get four bags together.
Bunch them up together,
into one bunch.
Put your one bunch into the remaining bag.
Make a ball shape and twist the bag under the ball shape.
I generally do one twist.
Then open the bag below the twist and wrap it around the ball shape.
Twist one more time below the ball shape. By now you should only have the handles left with maybe a little bit of bag.
Wrap those handles around and tie in a double knot on the other side of the ball shape.
The finished shape is a little larger than a baseball but smaller than a softball. I'm sure you could experiment with more or less bags for a more compact or larger/smaller ball.
I hope that helps! Link up your own spooky spiders on our Facebook page!
If you come over to my house I'm usually always rockin' (not really...my phone has horrible sound quality when you crank it...plus I don't want to blow the speakers, lol) whoa...ok got off track there. So I have Pandora playing 247 at my house. I listen to basically everything Classical, country, rock, jazz, rap, etc. I do have my favorites depending on mood, child appropriate, activity etc. If you don't listen to Pandora your cuuuurrrrraaaazzzy! ;-p
I am also super stoked because I bought a cord-thingy (not really what its called, baaahahaa) to get Pandora from my phone to play over the speakers! YEEEEYaaaaya! Anywho, don't have Pandora??? GET IT!

In other important news, I am still around. Just kicking butt at being a mom/sitter for the most part. Our household downsized-upgraded to one vehicle. Yep, the "Xbox" and the "Grandpa Truck" were traded in on a new-to-us 2007 Ford F-150, King Ranch edition. I am in LOVE! Look at the seats and the white gauges! *Sigh*.
Also...so random...but here's my mantle.
Just felt like being a smart-@$$ because everyone else in the blogosphere is posting
awesome pics of their Halloween decor. Can you tell I'm in a mood? :)
So I'm around and I've got stuff to do so see you later!
